Incorporated in 2000, City Photos and Books, Inc. originally produced computer screen savers featuring images from selected cities in the United States. The product line expanded to include books of cities and neighborhoods ranging from Washington, DC to Detroit's Mexicantown. Portraiture was added to provide a wider range of products.
Principal Photographer Rodney L. Arroyo started his formal education seeking to become a photojournalist, working for a daily college newspaper. He ultimately followed a path to a Master of City Planning degree. He has used his photographic experience to enhance his city planning practice, and the influence of urban settings impacts his portraiture work.
City Photos and Books, Inc. is based in the Birmingham - Beverly Hills - Troy, Michigan area. Photographs of high school seniors, families, children, and pets are a part of the portraiture service.
